Citlali is a fictional restaurant that was designed in collaboration with interior designer Lauren Dodds. Citlali is located in Sedona, Arizona and is inspired by Native American cuisine and culture. The graphics and interior are influenced by and embody the iconic landscape of Sedona. The word Citlali is an aztec word meaning star, naming this restaurant the guiding light of the building. The logo mark is inspired by Native American Kachina dolls the and star motif appears in pieces of the system like the custom tile wall. Letter forms from the word mark are used throughout the graphic system and begin to mimic the organic flowing nature of the environment of Sedona itself.
